Henry Pollock has 'unfinished business' with British and Irish Lions after Test snub in Australia

Henry Pollock says he has unfinished British and Irish Lions business and is using the 'hurt' of not featuring in a Test match in Australia as motivation.

Pollock stole the headlines when he was named in Andy Farrell's 38-man squad last May, just months after his England debut - and before the 20-year-old had even started an international Test.

Pollock played against Western Force and ACT Brumbies down under but could not force his way into the Test squad as the Lions clinched a 2-1 series victory over the Wallabies without him.

Having failed to get his hands on a coveted Test jersey, Pollock is already looking ahead to New Zealand 2029, where he hopes to be centre stage of another Lions triumph.

"It was an amazing experience being there so young, learning off all those amazing internationals and coaches," he reflected to Your Site.

"It was one of those moments you look back and pinch yourself a little bit. It was just an amazing experience to be a part of.

"But there's still a little bit of hurt I didn't play in a Test match. So there's definitely still some unfinished business, I guess, and I want to go back on it in a couple of years and hopefully be involved in those Test matches."

Asked whether Farrell's decision to overlook him for the Test series served as fuel, Pollock added: "Yes, exactly.

"The intention was to go there and play. I feel like he picked me to go and play that Test match.

"Obviously it was gutting not to play in it, but I was happy enough being there, being a squad member and making sure the boys trained well and got over the line in the end, and that's what we did."
