Tottenham's Guglielmo Vicario is back under consideration at Juventus in their search for a new goalkeeper, according to Sky in Italy. 

Aston Villa's Emi Martinez has been their first choice but progress has slowed in their pursuit of him.

Juventus have not given up hope of signing Martinez, who is currently at the World Cup with Argentina, and are waiting to learn what Villa's asking price is.

Sky in Italy are reporting that Vicario's name has gained traction at Juventus because of his lower wage demands. 

The Serie A club have made signing a goalkeeper a priority this summer. They wanted Alisson but he is expected to stay at Liverpool.

Millwall sign Metcalfe from Bradford

Millwall have signed midfielder Jenson Metcalfe from Bradford City for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old has signed a long-term deal and is Millwall's first signing of the summer.

Tottenham have agreed a 52m deal to sign Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton

Van Hecke will leave Brighton having expressed a desire to play with 'father figure Roberto De Zerbi again.

Van Hecke only wanted to join Spurs, who are determined to back De Zerbi in the summer window.

The club also have a strong interest in Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali, while interest remains in Man City's Savinho.

It is said a huge few weeks have been planned at Spurs, as the club will make major changes throughout transfer window.

Brighton signed Van Hecke for 1.8m from NAC Breda.

Martinez to leave Portugal role after World Cup

Your Site News understands that Roberto Martinez is set to step down as Portugal's manager at the end of the World Cup. 

It's understood that the former Everton, Wigan and Swansea manager will leave his current role regardless of what happens during the World Cup. 

Portugal face Congo in the opening game of their World Cup on Wednesday with Martinez due to speak to the media today.

Its understood Jose Mourinho had verbal agreement in place since last summer to take over after at Portugal this World Cup. 

He had agreed a four year deal the 2030 edition, which is held in Morocco, Portugal and Spain. 

Your Site News understands that when Real Madrid offered him the role, he had to take it. 

Hibs complete Kerr signing

Hibernian have announced the signing of experienced centre-back, Jason Kerr subject to SFA clearance.

The 29-year-old has penned a two-year deal, keeping him at Easter Road until Summer 2028.

Kerr becomes David Gray's first signing of the Summer Transfer Window ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, having departed EFL League One side Wigan Athletic after almost five years.

During that time, Kerr won the League One title during his first season and made 150 appearances in all competitions, including 37 as captain during the 2025/26 campaign.

Mansfield sign McGoldrick

Mansfield Town have announced the signing of forward David McGoldrick on a one-year deal.

The 38-year-old joins the club following the expiration of his contract at Barnsley, having scored 18 goals during the 2025/26 season.

Mansfield boss Nigel Clough said on the arrival: "Were absolutely thrilled to sign David who arrives at Mansfield Town with an impeccable track record at this level and above.

"The quality that he possesses in the final third was the main reason we pursued him.

"Our assessment at the end of the season was that we needed a little difference in the final third. With the permanent signing of Tyler Roberts, and now David McGoldrick, to add to Rhys (Oates) and Will (Evans), it gives us good options in attack."

Amorim appointed AC Milan manager

Former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has been appointed AC Milans new head coach, the Serie A club have announced.

Amorim was sacked as United head coach in January this year after 14 months in charge at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese joins Milan after they finished fifth in Serie A last season, just outside of the Champions League spots.

Solskjaer, O'Neil among candidates to replace McKenna

Your Site News understands Ipswich Town have held talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Gary ONeil over the vacant managerial position at Portman Road.

They are two of a number of high calibre candidates under consideration.

Its thought the club want to narrow down their search in the coming days with the aim of having Kieran McKennas replacement in situ by the end of the month.

McKenna worked as Solskjaer's assistant coach while the former striker was in charge at Manchester United.

The Norwegian has not managed since leaving Besiktas in August 2025.

O'Neil is currently in charge at Ligue 1 side Strasbourg. He replaced Liam Rosenior last season after he joined Chelsea.
